Religion, Philosophy and Ethics

Our planning is based around the locally agreed syllabus for RE, with a commitment to using philosophy to equip the children with the skills needed to interact with the ideas and concepts they will study. Each term children will investigate a different religious theme, such as Symbols. Content will be taught in one lesson providing the stimulus for a philosophy lesson that will follow. Our desire is to nurture  engaged, thoughtful and articulate thinkers in the area of Religion, Philosophy and Ethics at Rivelin.
